2. Trudeau Foundation Scholarships: This three-year leadership program is designed to train Engaged Leaders, equipping outstanding doctoral candidates with the skills to translate their ideas into action, for the betterment of their communities, Canada, and the world. Scholars are selected each year and receive leadership training in the context of Brave Spaces, in addition to generous funding for their studies.Program name: Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation Scholarship

3.Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

Ontario Trillium Scholarship:The Ontario Trillium Scholarships (OTS) program is a provincially-funded initiative to attract the best-qualified international students to Ontario for doctoral research studies. Approximately 15 Trillium Scholarships for doctoral research students are awarded annually at the University of Toronto.

6. Mastercard Foundation Scholarship

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Toronto (U of T) is a fully funded scholarship program for graduate studies at Canada’s leading institution of learning, discovery, and knowledge creation. U of T is proud to be one of the world’s top research-intensive universities, driven to invent and innovate.

Prospective scholars will develop their capacity and networks to engage in diverse healthcare professions and healthcare ecosystems in Africa. Upon completion of the program, it’s expected that Scholars will return to their home countries and engage in self-employment or work in a range of health-related professions to advance the health outcomes within their countries upon completion.

7. The Karta Catalyst Scholarship

The Karta Catalyst Scholarship Program is aimed at enabling talented, low-income students from rural India to study at the University of Toronto. Potential scholars participate in the Karta Initiative prior to applying to universities in the UK and Canada. This program was first established at the University of Toronto in Fall 2019.

8. McCall MacBain Scholarship at McGill University

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full scholarship for your master’s or professional studies. Applications open June 1, 2022. Students and graduates of Canadian and U.S. universities, as well as Canadians abroad, must apply by September 21. All other applicants must apply by August 25. Please note that Dates have not been announced for 2023.

9. NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships

NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral (PGS D) and Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS D) provide financial support to high-caliber scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the natural sciences or engineering.  Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are eligible to apply.

10. Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology

The above list has the most popular scholarships for international students in Canada. For most of the scholarships above, you will need to merit it to get a scholarship. However, some universities offer entrance scholarships that are automatically given to students when they get admission into their programs. Watch out for the post on this later today.
