Recent OINP Update:
OINP has changed its Employer Guide and Employer Job Offer stream pages to clearly state the minimum number of employees an employer needs.
The new OINP guidance clarifies that for a company with a mobile workforce, the minimum number of workers required at the location where the applicant will work or report can include both:
-workers who work at that location
-workers who report to work at that location
The “report to work” location could be:
– The place where the applicant’s direct boss or supervisor is.
– The administrative office where they get their work tasks and assignments.
The “report to work” location must have at least 5 workers in the Greater Toronto Area and 3 workers outside the GTA.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) can now nominate 21,500 people in 2024, which is 5,000 more than before. This increase represents about 20% of Canada’s yearly target for provincial nominees.
