1,500 Candidates invited for the First Trades Express Entry Draw for PR – Cut-off score 388

IRCC unveiled its first-ever Trades Occupation Express Entry draw, targeting profiles having experience in one of the 10 approved Trade occupations on Thursday August 3, 2023.

In this round of invitations, profiles with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of 388 or above received an invitation to apply (ITA).

What is the tie-breaking rule: If multiple candidates have the lowest score, the cut-off is determined by the time and date that their Express Entry profiles were submitted.

In order to be eligible, these profiles need to have at least 6 months of experience in one of the trade occupations in last 3 years. An overall 1 year experience is still required to meet the general eligibility for any other program under the Express Entry program.

Ontario invites 2,844 Candidates to apply for Express Entry in Skilled Trade Draw

A massive 2,844 candidates with Express Entry profiles have been offered provincial nomination in the latest Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program – OINP Skilled Trade draw on August 3, 2023.

Only candidates with valid Express Entry profiles generated between August 3, 2022- August 3, 2023 with CRS scores between 250 and 516 in one of the 46 Skilled trade occupations are eligible for this draw.

A total of 7,512 profiles have been invited so far. This is the 6th selection for the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream in 2023.

Requirements for the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream

Express Entry profiles created with a minimum of one year of cumulative paid full-time work experience (or the equivalent in paid part-time work) in Ontario Major Groups 72 (excluding occupations under transportation officers), 73, 82, 83, 93 (excluding aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors), or Minor Group 6320 (excluding cooks) in the last two years qualify automatically for the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream draw.

Alberta invites 43 Candidates to apply for Provincial nomination in 2 New Draws

On August 1, 2023, 2 new Alberta Express Entry draws sent out 43 Notification of Interest (NOI) letters offering provincial nomination.

Express Entry profiles having a CRS score of 317 or above and meeting the below listed requirements were considered by these 2 Alberta PNP draws.

One of the latest Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) draws invited only 11 Express Entry profiles with a CRS score between 317 and above.

Express Entry profiles with a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway having Alberta job offer were targeted on this draw.

The second draw invited 32 Express Entry profiles with a CRS score of 322 or above and Alberta job offer in an Agriculture occupation.

Canada invites 800 Candidates to apply for Permanent residence in Latest Express Entry Draw

The latest ‘French Language Proficiency’ Express Entry draw sent out 800 invitations to apply for permanent residency (PR) today, August 2, 2023.

The CRS cutoff score jumped by 60 points to 435 as compared to the last ‘French Language proficiency’ Express Entry draw which took place on July 12.

British Columbia Invites 194+ Candidates to apply for Provincial nomination

On Tuesday August 1, 2023, 194+ invitations were sent out by the latest BC PNP draw of 2023 to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) in targeted draws.

They invited profiles with experience in 35 Tech occupations under all the BC PNP Skills Immigration streams as well as Express Entry streams, 132 invitations were sent out in this targeted draw.

A total of 39 invitations were sent targeted at profiles having experience as Early Childhood Educator and assistants (NOC 42202).

Another, 23 invitations were targeted at profiles in 39 healthcare-related occupations and less than 5 for Veterinarians (31103) and Animal health technologists (32104).

However, the cutoff score remained same as compared to preceding similar draw on July 11.

Targeted invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration streams may be based on one or more of the following factors:

Education – level and field of education and where it was completed
Eligible professional designations in B.C.
Language skills
Occupation
Duration and skill level of work experience
Wage and/or skill level of job offer
Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
Strategic priorities – factors that address specific labor market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

840 Applicants Invited to apply for permanent residence in 3 New OINP Draws

A total of 840 invitations to apply (ITAs) for Permanent Residency (PR) were sent out on Tuesday August 1, 2023 in three Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program – OINP draws.

755 ITAs were issued under the general draw of the Masters Graduate Stream to profiles with a score of 48 and above.

84 ITAs are sent under the PhD Graduate Stream in a general draw to applicants with a score of 39 and above.

Finally 1 invitation was sent to a profile with a score of 36 and above under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream targeted for Economic Mobility Pathways.

The First Express Entry Draw Targeted For New Trades will Open This Week – Targeted occupations listed

New Minister of Immigration, Marc Miller announced on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 , that the first Express Entry draw targeted for trades occupations will open this week.

This opening will emphasize on candidates with expertise in skilled professions, such as plumbing, welding, and carpentry.

In Honorable Marc Miller’s words:

“It’s absolutely critical to address the shortage of skilled trades workers in our country, and part of the solution is helping the construction sector find and maintain the workers it needs. This round of category-based selection recognizes these skilled trades workers as essential, and I look forward to welcoming more of these talented individuals to Canada.”

In addition to the general invitation rounds, he reaffirmed that these category-based selection rounds will continue throughout the year, and more information will be released in the following weeks.

2,000 Invitations For PR Issued By New IRCC Express Entry Draw

The first Express Entry draw of August 2023 sent out two thousand (2,000) invitations to apply (ITA) for Permanent Residency (PR) today, August 1, 2023.

It is a “no program specified” draw, this means it considered all the valid profiles within the Express Entry system under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.
