In early April 2025, Alberta conducted three immigration draws, issuing 81 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to health care professionals. These draws targeted candidates through both Express Entry and non-Express Entry pathways under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

Eligibility Criteria:
Health care professionals must meet specific criteria to qualify for these pathways, which include having a valid job offer from an Alberta employer and meeting language requirements (CLB level 5). Professions eligible under these streams include physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and more, with each profession regulated by a corresponding body, such as the CPSA for physicians or CRNA for registered nurses.
Express Entry Stream:
Candidates applying through the Express Entry version of the Dedicated Health Care Pathway need to qualify for Express Entry, have a CRS score of at least 300, and ensure their primary occupation is in a health care field listed in their profile.
