IRCC unveiled its first-ever Trades Occupation Express Entry draw, targeting profiles having experience in one of the 10 approved Trade occupations on Thursday August 3, 2023.
In this round of invitations, profiles with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of 388 or above received an invitation to apply (ITA).

What is the tie-breaking rule: If multiple candidates have the lowest score, the cut-off is determined by the time and date that their Express Entry profiles were submitted.
In order to be eligible, these profiles need to have at least 6 months of experience in one of the trade occupations in last 3 years. An overall 1 year experience is still required to meet the general eligibility for any other program under the Express Entry program.

IRCC is conducting new occupation-based Express Entry draws for candidates with at least 6 months of work experience in one of the following industries over the past three years:
1. Healthcare
2. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
3. Trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
4. Transport
5. Agriculture and agri-food
6. French Language Proficiency
